SkyCross Opens New Asian Design
Center; Expands Localized Support to Customers in
Asia-Pacific
Region
Asia-based Team to Provide Real-time Response
to Increased Customer
Demand
Melbourne, Florida/Seoul, Korea, December 17, 2003 SkyCross,
a leading developer of advanced RF and embedded antenna solutions,
announced today that it has opened its first Asian technical design
center to provide local design, technical and manufacturing support
for customers in the Asia Pacific region.
The new design center, which is in response to increased demand,
is the first of several centers planned in the region, and will
provide local support to SkyCross' expanding set of WLAN and handset
customers in the region.
SkyCross designs and manufactures wireless embedded antennas based
on their patented Meander Line technology to produce volumetrically
efficient antennas for mobile and fixed wireless telecommunications,
telematics, and mobile computing markets. The SkyCross antennas
are highly efficient and they have the greatest possible bandwidth
for their compact size. These antennas are designed to be integrated
directly onto the manufacturer's PCB, which enables sleeker, more
advanced designs and eliminates unreliable external whip and stubby
antennas.
"The Asian market is driving enormous changes in the migration
of wireless handsets and WLAN activity. Opening the Korean design
center further demonstrates SkyCross' commitment to our Asian customers,
while contributing to the remarkable business growth in the region," said
Chris Morton, CEO for SkyCross. "This center is just one element
of SkyCross' Asian growth strategy. We plan to open offices in
other strategic locations in the coming months."
About SkyCross
SkyCross is a leading developer of next-generation
RF technology for mobile and fixed wireless telecommunications, telematics,
satellite, and mobile computing markets. SkyCross' antenna solutions
are based on patented Meander Line Antenna technology that allows
engineers to design high performance, multi-mode, multi-frequency
antennas that can be hidden inside a mobile casing, have a very low
radiation profile, and offer much better gain characteristics over
existing solutions. Typical applications for the antennas include
handsets, laptop computers, PDAs, automobiles, household electronics
and base stations. For details, please visit www.skycross.com.
