SkyCross Antennas Embedded in Award-Winning Wireless Earphones Designed and Manufactured by Fujikon
VIERA, Florida, November 28, 2007—SkyCross, a global wireless company providing antenna-centric RF solutions, today announced that its antennas are embedded in the award-winning wireless earphones designed and manufactured by Fujikon Industrial Holdings Ltd. (SEHK stock code: 0927), a leading electroacoustic products design and manufacturer headquartered in Hong Kong. The wireless earphones are the first such products completely untethered from each other and the audio source while providing CD-quality stereo sound in a very small form factor.
This ground-breaking design received the Gold Award for Outstanding Innovation & Technology Products at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair last month, the most prestigious award in the personal electronics category. The award is organized by the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association (HKEIA) and judged by a diverse panel including CEOs from leading electronics companies, university professors, and representatives from the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks organization.
Specifically designed to operate in Fujikon’s wireless earphones, SkyCross antennas offer design freedom while providing superior performance, small size, and low power consumption. The technology in the earphones is also applicable to connect headsets or speakers wirelessly to a variety of audio sources including portable audio/media players and home audio/theater systems.
The Fujikon product is one of many SkyCross enabled devices recognized as the first of their kind. SkyCross designed the first embedded antennas for flip phones, 3G data cards, and now wireless earphones. SkyCross technology also has been featured in the first devices for network launches including all major mobile video standards (T-DMB, DVB-H, S-DMB) and WiMAX.
