Ben Naskar

CEO and Chairman of the Board
Ben Naskar has more than 25 years experience in the wireless semiconductor industry. Prior to joining SkyCross in November 2010, Naskar was VP & GM of the Wireless Networking Business Unit at Atheros Communications and a corporate officer of the company ( Atheros was acquired by Qualcomm for $3.5B in 2010). In this position, he grew the business from $250M to a run rate of $800M over three years, gaining market share in all product and market segments.

Previously, Naskar served as VP & GM of the Communications Group at PMC-Sierra the largest Division in PMC. In addition, he has several of hands-on international experience in Asia pacific, where SkyCross has five facilities. For more than eight years, he was the China-based VP and Managing Director of Asia Pacific at Analog Devices, growing a $55 million division to $650 million in revenues within six years. Naskar also headed a successful startup as CEO and President of Magfusion, a provider of RF MEMS devices. Naskar also held senior management positions at National Semiconductor and Advanced Micro Devices. He is also experienced in leading several successful M&A's worth several hundred millions of dollars.

Naskar has a bachelor’s degree BSEE in Electrical Engineering from the University of Auckland, and has an MBA in International Business, Marketing and Finance, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Business, where he graduated Magna cum Laude. Naskar has also completed the Executive Business program at Stanford University and graduate MSEE courses at University of Santa Clara, California.

Jeffrey Braden

Vice President of Global Operations and Quality
Jeffrey Braden’s 30 year career includes extensive experience in manufacturing, product development, product line management, M&A integration and quality systems for both VC-backed start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining SkyCross, Braden was VP of operations at LV Sensors, a MEMS semiconductor company that manufactured wireless sensors for the automotive market, where he was responsible for all aspects of order fulfillment including manufacturing, supply chain management and quality.

Previously, he served as North American president of Signetics High Technology, VP of strategic operations and product line management at ChipPAC, and general manager of Olin Corporation’s Interconnect Technology business unit. Braden has also served on the advisory board of MEPTEC, a semiconductor industry council, as well as past chairman of JEDEC JC-11 and SEMI semiconductor standards committees.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi State University and graduated from the Executive Business Management program at the University of Michigan.

Frank M. Caimi, Ph.D., P.E.

Chief Scientist
Frank M. Caimi has more than 30 years of experience in antenna and RF research development.

Most recently, Caimi has served as associate professor of electrical engineering at Florida Institute of Technology’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Previously, Caimi has served as a consultant on communications and signal processing for industry and government organizations and has more than 18 years of experience in technical and leadership management.

He has a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh.

Bob Giometti 

Vice President of R&D and Engineering
Bob Giometti has more than 20 years of wireless technology experience, including all facets of product strategy, design, development, quality and optimization. As vice president of R&D and Engineering at SkyCross, Giometti’s focus is on setting the overall technical vision, strategy and execution for the product roadmaps and product delivery.

Prior to joining SkyCross, Giometti served as senior director of engineering for Motorola Mobile Devices, where he led a team of electrical, mechanical, and software engineers and project managers that implemented technical solutions for highly complex Android-based 4G, LTE, WCDMA, and 3G/UMTS products. In this role, he oversaw the electrical development and product integration for the ultra-thin original Motorola RAZR. Giometti also worked previously as engineering section manager for Motorola’s Cellular Infrastructure Division. Before joining Motorola, he was a project engineer / RF designer with Northrop Grumman.

Giometti holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He has also completed work towards a Masters in Engineering Management at Northwestern University.

Brian Hurst

Vice President of Worldwide Sales
Brian Hurst has more than 25 years of experience in wireless technology sales, and is an expert wireless sales executive. Hurst focuses on assisting wireless device OEMs in designing compelling 4G devices for global markets, and is responsible for solving 4G device manufacturers’ complex antenna and RF challenges with SkyCross advanced, tunable antenna modules incorporating patented SkyCross technology.

Previously, Hurst served as vice president of worldwide sales at WiSpry, Inc., RAYSPAN Corp., and Peregrine Semiconductor, where he established global sales organizations and built customer support infrastructure in Korea, Taiwan, China, Europe and the United States. Hurst has also led global relationships with strategic Tier 1 customers at ANADIGICS, Inc.

He has a master’s degree in Marketing from Southern Methodist University.

Amanda Jiang

General Manager, Greater China
Amanda Jiang has more than 10 years of business management experience within the antenna industry, including business development, program management, R&D management, supply chain management, customer service and logistics management.

Previously, Jiang was general manager of Ethertronics’ China R&D center, handling day-to-day operations as well as business development, R&D management and supply chain management. Before Ethertronics, Jiang spent five years with Shanghai Amphenol Airwave, where she managed both key accounts including Nokia and Huawei, and R&D groups including Shanghai and Beijing. Prior to Amphenol, Jiang held sales executive and customer service executive roles in the antenna division at Filtronics Suzhou Telecommunication, serving both major overseas accounts and key local accounts.

Jiang has a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Information Engineering from Soochow University, China.

Young-Min Jo, Ph.D.

President of East Asia
Dr. Young-Min Jo has extensive experience in the wireless industry, specializing in RF theory, measurement, and design.

Previously, Dr. Jo worked on a smart antenna program funded by the U.S. Air Force as a lead researcher in the antenna systems laboratory at Florida Institute of Technology. He has also served in a variety research and product development positions with Samsung Electronics and Mac Trans International.

Dr. Jo owns more than 10 issued and pending U.S./international patents and has also written several articles on RF technology, measurement and antenna design for a variety of industry publications.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Korea, and a master’s and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Florida Tech.

John Marshall

Chief Marketing Officer
John Marshall has more than 15 years of experience in general management, strategy and marketing. Marshall joined SkyCross in April 2012 and is responsible for product strategy, global marketing and business development for mobile and operator solutions worldwide.

Previously, Marshall provided leadership in the growth of multiple start-up ventures, and co-founded SiBEAM, Inc., raising two initial rounds of financing and leading SiBEAM’s sales, marketing, business development and advanced technology teams. Marshall developed SiBEAM into the market leader in consumer electronic and mobile solutions for multi-gigabit wireless communications, and the company was later eventually acquired by Silicon Image (SIMG). Marshall has also led 2Wire Inc.’s marketing and business development teams, supporting growth from $0 to $150M revenue, driving profitability and resulting in an acquisition by Pace (PIC), and has provided industry leadership by serving as president and chairman of three global industry organizations. He holds multiple U.S./international patents.

He has a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan.

Warren H. Weiner

Chief Financial Officer
Warren H. Weiner is an accomplished financial, operations and business development executive, with expertise in implementing internal controls for high-growth companies and successfully negotiating acquisitions. Weiner joined SkyCross in mid-2012 with more than 30 years of experience in telecommunications.

Previously, Weiner served as CFO of Paratek Microwave, Inc., a leader in adaptive RF tuning solutions for smartphones and tablets. At Paratek, he negotiated strategic relationships, equity investments and new dept facilities, in addition to initiating cost-saving measures. Weiner led Paratek to an acquisition by Research In Motion. Weiner also served as CFO at Transilica, Inc., a solutions provider for short-range wireless applications, where he secured customer orders totaling $100 million and rapidly completed acquisition by an RF transceiver company. At Pacific Communication Sciences, Inc., Weiner had profit and loss responsibility for early smartphones, CDPD wireless modems and two-way pagers; and led the $70 million acquisition by PCSI by Cirrus Logic.

He has a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a master’s degree in Business Administration from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and is a CPA.
